Overview
A behavioral health program located near Lewisville is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing support to adolescent residents in a structured therapeutic setting. This role focuses on crisis support, medication administration, safety oversight, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care and behavioral monitoring throughout assigned shifts.

Administer prescribed medications and complete EMR documentation accurately.

Perform assessments, vitals, and scheduled safety rounds.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment discussions.

Implement crisis-prevention strategies and assist with de-escalation when needed.

Communicate changes in resident behavior or condition to the clinical team promptly.

Maintain a calm, supportive presence during emotionally intense situations.
Qualifications
Required
-
Active, unencumbered Texas RN license
-
Minimum 1 year in psych, behavioral health, residential treatment, or acute care

Weekend availability
-
Current BLS certification
Preferred
-
CPI or similar crisis-management training
-
Experience working with adolescents or trauma-exposed youth
