Compensation & Incentives:

  • Salary Range: $33.77/hr (Min, 5 yrs exp) $38.28/hr (10 yrs exp) $49.06/hr (17+ yrs exp)

  • Shift Differentials: $4.50/night; $1.50/weekend

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15K Days / $20K Nights (through end of Q3; subject to reevaluation)

  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

  • Fee: 20%

Overview

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, providing the only full-service cardiovascular program in the area. Services include open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic services, as well as orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient rehab, and complete imaging services.

The CVICU RN delivers high-acuity care for post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients. This role requires close monitoring, frequent assessments, and the ability to act autonomously in critical situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a patient and family advocate, maintaining privacy and confidentiality

  • Provide focused care with continuous assessment and improvement

  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatment plans

  • Utilize clinical judgment to manage care safely and effectively

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of recent ICU RN experience in an acute care setting required

  • Florida RN license or multistate RN license (Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain FL license)

  • Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma required

  • Certifications required:

    • BCLS within 30 days of hire

    • ACLS within 6 months of hire

    • PALS within 6 months of hire

    • NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of hire

    • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months

Unit Details

  • Unit Beds: 12

  • Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
