Terrelonge Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for our client, a leading civil engineering firm specializing in bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida and have extensive experience in bridge design, analysis, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bridge Design & Engineering:

  • Lead structural design and analysis for bridges and related infrastructure projects.
  • Develop engineering calculations, plans, and specifications in compliance with FDOT, AASHTO, and local standards.
  • Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and rehabilitation evaluations.
  • Utilize advanced bridge design software (STAAD, LARSA, MIDAS, or similar).

2. Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge projects from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure project success.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality control for multiple projects.

3. Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Review and approve engineering reports, calculations, and design deliverables.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Coordination:

  • Ensure all projects meet FDOT, AASHTO, and local agency requirements.
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Support public engagement efforts related to infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
10+ years of experience in bridge engineering and design.
Strong expertise in FDOT projects, AASHTO LRFD, and structural analysis software.
Experience managing bridge rehabilitation, new construction, and inspection projects.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Design-Build and Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects.
Familiarity with FDOT standard specifications and structures manual.
Knowledge of project funding and grant applications for transportation projects.
