General Construction Cost Estimator

Our client is seeking a well-versed General Construction Cost Estimator capable of high-level and detailed estimating to join a New York-based construction management team. This position is a key role in the team and will contribute to the growth and development of the Estimating Department and Construction Management practice area. For the right candidate, there is long-term potential to grow into a Chief Estimator role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all general construction cost estimating firm-wide.
• Assemble and roll up cost estimates, including all trades on a project.
• Train and mentor junior staff within the Estimating Team.
• Be an integral part of the Construction Management practice area and contribute to the strategic growth of the Estimating Team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Construction Technology/Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
• 614 years of experience in General Construction Cost Estimating for multidiscipline buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in estimating from concept through detailed bid-level estimates.
• Experience with cost estimating software, detailed quantity take-offs, and applying historical cost data to prepare estimates.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proven leadership abilities.
