Director of Truckload Pricing
Full-Time | Day Shift | Competitive Compensation
Our client is seeking a Director of Truckload Pricing to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this leadership role will oversee domestic truckload pricing operations and drive strategic initiatives to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Bid Management: Oversee the bid process, contracts, awards, system billing, rating structures, EDI, and API data management.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and operations to complete customer RFIs and RFPs efficiently and effectively.
- Pricing Strategies: Partner with senior leadership to create and implement pricing strategies to enhance win rates.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth comparative analysis to inform pricing decisions and initiatives.
- Relationship Development: Build strong partnerships with senior leadership, operations, sales, and other stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives and provide technical and strategic expertise in pricing operations.
- Data Reporting: Analyze and report key statistics on volume, yield, award management, and other relevant metrics.
- Technology Enhancement: Collaborate with the technology team to refine tools that support pricing needs.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of recent truckload pricing experience, with expertise in 3PL Domestic Over-the-Road operations.
- Strong knowledge of the truckload marketplace and pricing strategies.
- Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Excel and Access.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience with McLeod software is required.
- FourKites and Project44 experience is preferred.
