About the job Planning Engineer
We are hiring an experienced Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a planning engineer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of projects and internal planning. You will work closely with project managers and other members of project teams, including clients, to identify project objectives, track progress, and ensure successful completion of projects. This is a critical role to our organization that requires strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Development and detailing of project schedule in accordance with their requirements.
- Identify project objectives, milestones and deliverables to support successful project completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to establish project objectives, priorities and deadlines.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential delays or issues and proposing solutions to ensure on-time completion.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports (monthly, weekly, daily) including cost estimates, progress updates and risk assessments, for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project planning, resource utilization and workflow efficiency.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a planning engineer in engineering, construction, infrastructure or related industries.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 (advanced), Microsoft Project (advanced)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus (pivots, S-curves, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of the English language - advanced level
- Understanding of industrial and construction engineering work processes, project management methodologies and relevant regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data to identify patterns and trends.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP)) are desirable.
