Job Description:
As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the .NET framework, focusing on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and C#. You will work closely with our project team to ensure the application meets client specifications and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications using WPF and C#.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and other developers, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Code Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the functionality, security, and performance of the application.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for software development processes, including design specs, user manuals, and other project-related materials.
- On-site Collaboration: Be available for on-site work at the client's location in Addison, IL, several days a week.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- .NET Development: Proven experience with the .NET framework, particularly in developing desktop applications.
- WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation): Strong expertise in WPF for building rich desktop applications.
- C#: Proficient in C# programming language.
- SQL: Intermediate level of SQL knowledge, with the ability to write and optimize queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on assigned tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- On-site Availability: Willingness to work on-site at the client's location in Addison, IL, multiple days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience with Version Control Systems: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- UI/UX Knowledge: Understanding of user interface design principles and experience with developing user-friendly applications.
