The ideal candidate should have experience in front-end and back-end development, theme and plugin customization, and an understanding of SEO best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites with a focus on performance and user experience.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Ensure website functionality and stability across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Implement SEO best practices to optimize website performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to create high-quality web solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development and customization.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases and database optimization.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce development.
- Knowledge of server management and hosting environments.
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, CDN, minification).
- Understanding of security best practices for WordPress sites.
- Experience with headless WordPress or integrating WordPress with modern front-end frameworks.
