Role Overview

We are seeking a Workday HCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and lead Workday Human Capital Management projects across implementation, enhancement, and post-go-live support phases. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in Workday HCM, act as a key escalation point for complex issues, and collaborate closely with HR, HRIS, and technical stakeholders.

This role requires hands-on configuration experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to represent TekHQS professionally with global clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Workday HCM projects and full-cycle implementations
  • Provide expert-level guidance across Workday HCM functional activities
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical functional and system issues
  • Manage Workday releases, including regression testing and validation of new features
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules based on business requirements
  • Collaborate with HR teams to understand end-to-end HR processes
  • Represent the Global HRIS Team professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support system optimization, enhancements, and best-practice adoption
  • Develop documentation, user guides, and support materials as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in HR Systems / HRIS
  • Proven experience configuring relevant Workday HCM modules
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and system-driven workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a consulting environment
  • Proven experience resolving complex functional issues and stakeholder conflicts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to probe and gather detailed requirements
  • Ability to communicate complex system concepts in clear, simple language
