As such, we are significantly expanding our Data & AI function and are seeking talented Data Scientists with expertise in Computer Vision to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced AI-driven applications.
Job Overview:
As a Data Scientist specializing in Computer Vision, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing computer vision algorithms and models. You will work on a variety of projects that involve image and video analysis, leveraging your expertise to extract meaningful insights and create innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer vision, machine learning and data science, with a proven track record of successful projects.
What will be your responsibilities:
Algorithm Development: Design, develop and implement computer vision algorithms for image and video analysis, including object & event & change detection, recognition, segmentation and tracking.
Model Training and Optimization: Train and optimize machine learning models using large datasets, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
Data Preprocessing: Perform data preprocessing tasks such as image augmentation, normalization and annotation to prepare datasets for training and evaluation.
Research and Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning and apply new techniques to improve existing models and develop new solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, software developers, product managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of computer vision models using appropriate metrics and techniques and iteratively improve model accuracy and efficiency.
Deployment: Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy computer vision models into production environments and ensure their robustness and scalability.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms and processes for future reference and reproducibility.
Profile and requirements:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on computer vision.
- Technical Skills:
Strong programming skills in Python and C++ and experience with frameworks and libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, TensorRT, PyTorch and Keras.
Experience with ML tools such as FiftyOne and annotation tools such as CVAT.
Experience with relevant deep learning models such as YOLO.
Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
Experience with image and video processing techniques.
Experience with experimentation platforms such as Jupyter Notebooks.
Knowledge of data preprocessing and augmentation techniques for computer vision tasks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services, with focus on Google Cloud.
Experience in getting Machine Learning products to production.
Basic knowledge of DevOps best practices and tools: GIT, CI/CD, telemetry and monitoring, etc.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex problems.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and quality of work.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
