What We Are Looking For:

As a Core Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in building a next-generation Risk & PnL engine to support the valuation of our client's global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

As a core member of the Risk Systems team, you will focus on the following:

  • Technical Excellence: Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested, and extensible code to ensure a robust and scalable platform.
  • Ownership: Take full responsibility for the performance, reliability, and seamless operation of core components within the new Risk & PnL engine.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teammates to develop high-performance pricers for the full range of physical and financial trades.
  • Architectural Vision: Contribute to the integration of the Risk & PnL engine within its broader infrastructure. Develop a deep understanding of system architecture and serve as a strategic partner to the Risk Architect.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • C++ Mastery: 8+ years of hands-on experience with full proficiency in C++.
    • Python Familiarity: Basic knowledge and usage of Python.
    • High-Performance Computing: Proven experience with implementing high-performance algorithms and grid computations.
  • Academic Background:

    • Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline from a top-tier university.
  • Development Skills:

    • Strong ability to design and implement code that addresses complex, high-level requirements.
  • Professional Attributes:

    • Ownership mindset with the capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Interest in understanding the business context and how end users will engage with the product.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless interaction with diverse stakeholders.
    • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Additional Qualifications to Help You Stand Out

  • Specialized Experience:

    • Significant prior experience with Risk & PnL engine development or operations.
    • Interest in and understanding of financial and commodity markets.
  • Systems Knowledge:

    • SysAdmin experience, including familiarity with tools and technologies such as cloud infrastructure, Redis, Kafka, CMake, and network sockets.
