What We're Looking For:
We are in search of an ambitious and creative individual to take on the role of a Python Developer/Risk Specialist as part of our Risk & PnL team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take part in developing a sophisticated valuation and risk platform that underpins our global trading operations.
- Approach complex, undefined challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented perspective.
- Foster collaboration across diverse teams, partnering with technical experts and business stakeholders to craft effective solutions.
- Expand expertise in trading mechanisms, deal structures, and risk management strategies while applying advanced technical skills to tackle practical business issues.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Python Proficiency: A minimum of 3 years developing enterprise-grade applications with Python, showcasing an ability to produce high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
- C++ Knowledge: Some hands-on experience with C++ in a professional setting.
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A self-motivated individual who can operate autonomously yet thrive in collaborative environments.
- Communication Mastery: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with full proficiency in English for professional engagements.
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding Derivatives Risk: Familiarity with key derivative risk principles, such as option pricing and Greek risk measures, particularly within the commodities domain.
- Database Development: Experience with procedural database programming using PL/SQL (preferred) or similar languages like T-SQL.
- Frontend Development: Practical experience in creating user interfaces with React.
