Paralegal 

New York (Office) $120K - $150K

What You'll Do

Reporting to General Counsel, you will support our corporate and intellectual property legal functions, including organization of corporate documents for our multinational structure, corporate document processing, assisting in the preparation of agency filings, due diligence investigations, assisting with the review, administration, and preparation of contracts, and supporting litigation and commercial transactions.

  • Managing our internal file system to track corporate filings, intra-company agreements, governance resolutions, and governance documents for multiple entities in multiple jurisdictions;
  • Tracking forms used in our form database and managing contracts for standard agreements (i.e. employment agreements, contractor agreements, NDAs, license agreements, promotional agreements, etc.).
  • Assisting with management of our IP portfolio.
  • Organizing diligence materials for banking, regulators, and service providers.
  • Management of invoices from outside counsel and service providers.
  • Coordination with litigation counsel for deadline and matter tracking.
  • Assisting with other corporate, M&A, regulatory, litigation, and intellectual property matters as needed.
  • Undertaking other duties reasonable and consistent with the position and as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Four year degree and completion of paralegal program of study or demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skill
  • 5 or more years of experience as a paralegal or equivalent position; multi-national corporate experience preferred
  • Excellent time, task, and project management skills and the ability to perform complex tasks efficiently and independently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Strong professional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Corporate experience is preferred, including experience with basic corporate law concepts, documents, law, and procedure
  • Proficiency in Internet research skills and use of computerised business applications (including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel) and task management systems such as Notion and Slack (or equivalent task management systems)
  • Ability to protect company and client confidentiality

Compensation & Package

Base Salary ($120-150k) + Equity/Tokens ($50K – $150K over 4 years)
