Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with our engineering team on Electrical/Controls design for new and existing products.
  • Program PLCs for OEM equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and execute test methods for both software and hardware systems.
  • Prepare control load calculations, select equipment, and design control panels.
  • Assist production teams by providing training and production drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Manage comprehensive documentation, including CAD packages, system manuals, and sequence of operations.
  • Provide technical support for various departments, including marketing, project management, and sales.
  • Continuously drive product improvement and initiate cost-reduction efforts.
  • Contribute to a work environment that fosters teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Strong knowledge of UL Standards and PLC programming (ladder logic, function block).
  • Expertise in control panel design and load calculations.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports and updates for project managers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of UL-508a Standard.

Experience with PLCs such as:

  • Rockwell
  • Siemens
  • Unitronics
  • Wago

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field with at least 3+ years of experience. Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience.
