About the job Medical Sales Area Manager
Location: Johor Bahru, Pahang, Perak, Penang (Island) and Kedah
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration in the Penang/Kedah and Johor Bharu regions.
2. Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales objectives.
3. Key Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals, to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and development.
5. Analyze sales data and trends to forecast future sales and plan resource allocation accordingly.
6. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
7. Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively to ensure cost efficiency and maximize profitability.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to support sales initiatives and achieve business objectives.
9. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in medical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
3. Strong understanding of the medical device industry, particularly in orthopedic implants, and knowledge of local healthcare market dynamics.
4. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
5. Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategie.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with key stakeholders.
7. Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
8. Willingness to travel within the assigned region and work flexible hours as needed.
