Position: Construction Manager - Civil
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Manager to oversee our client's civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in civil construction and project management. GCC experience is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from conception to completion
- Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards
- Coordinate with project team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of construction activities
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards, and maintain a safe working environment for all workers on site
- Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
- Manage project budget, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and making adjustments as necessary
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during the construction process
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, motivating and supporting them to achieve project goals
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and implement best practices to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction
- GCC experience is required
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering civil construction projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office applications.
