About the job Senior Structural Engineer
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, analysis, and implementation of blast resistant and non- blast resistant steel structures. Structural Engineer, will collaborate with other dependent disciplines, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of various construction projects . This position requires a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, structural analysis methods and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects undertaken by Hunter. Analysis shall include but not limited to Static Analysis, Dynamic analysis, Blast analysis (SDOF & MDOF), Transportation Analysis, Lifting Analysis, Connections designs etc.
- Carry out structural static and dynamic analysis for various kinds of structures including buildings using industry-standard software and tools.
- Preparation of Detailed Engineering deliverables related to offshore /Onshore /Industrial /renewable Structures. Primary experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors, including onshore and offshore.
- High degree of proficiency in the use of Structural Analysis and Design Softwares such as SACS, STAAD Pro etc. and finite element analysis softwares such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
- Experience in the design and execution of projects for both Offshore and Onshore fields. Good knowledge of Structural / Civil materials of construction.
- Facilitate the Engineering solutions or inputs for overall cost optimization.
- Facilitate the Engineering solutions or inputs for overall cost optimization.
- Capable of reading the Contract specification in a wholesome manner and supporting the Business Unit / Project team for enabling optimization, variations, and contractual claims.
- Co-ordinate with project/manufacturing team and ensure smooth work execution of the works.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any structural issues and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Proactive interaction within various engineering disciplines to ensure proper coordination between the engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of structural elements into overall project design.
- Review of the engineering drawings prepared both in house and by subcontractors and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes on general engineering practices without compromising on quality.
- Review and analyze project documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Good exposure to Fabrication and Construction activities related to Structural and Civil. Good knowledge of HSE, Quality, and International Codes & Standards
- Responsible for detailed engineering respect to his/her discipline.
- Good interpersonal relationship capabilities and communication (oral and written). Leadership capabilities, teamwork and ability to coach, guide and motivate subordinates on the job. Qualifications / Experience: Degree or equivalent in Structural and Civil Engineering.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of engineering deliverables as per Local Regulations, Project Specifications, Material Requisitions, Approved Technical Exception/Deviation List,
- Datasheets, Standard Drawings, Client Engineering Specifications, Contractual requirements and International Codes and Standards
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for project feasibility and design considerations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement within the organization.
- Ensure that comments, clarifications, and queries from Client are promptly attended to with Comments Resolution Sheet (CRS) during the next revision submission.
- Participate in discussions with Client, Engineering Subcontractor and Vendors for technical queries and clarifications respective to his/her discipline to comply the client technical and contractual requirements.
- Apply Lessons Learned from previous projects and that received from Clients and Sub-Contractors.
- Prepare guidelines for design or drafting outsourcing.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
- QHSE Responsibilities
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across engineering function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality product/services and responsible environmental attitude.

Academic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical / civil engineering
Experience
10~12 Years of Relevant experience in similar role
Software Proficiency
STAAD Pro, SACS, ABAQUS/ANSYS etc.
Other Softwares
MS Office / Auto Cad / Revit
Others
Professional Engineer / Chartered Engineer Certification is preferred
