I. Job Purpose:

Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of Overhead Line (OHL) projects. Acts as the main point of contact for project delivery and coordination with clients and internal teams.

II. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage the design, drawings, and documentation of OHL projects in collaboration with designers, engineers, surveyors, and client representatives.

  • Coordinate with clients for work order generation and execute resource planning.

  • Perform project estimation in collaboration with the design team and obtain necessary approvals from management and clients.

  • Oversee full site operations including materials, manpower, and equipment.

  • Assist in designing cost-effective and efficient solutions for the project.

  • Apply strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to OHL and electrical systems.

  • Monitor and drive project progress to meet or exceed timelines.

  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly review meetings with clients.

  • Manage procurement processes, ensuring timely availability of materials.

  • Oversee sub-contractors and suppliers with support from the procurement and commercial teams.

  • Manage installation, testing, commissioning, and final approvals with clients.

  • Supervise project construction teams and coordinate with clients throughout.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards across the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee measurements, certification, and client invoicing.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage overall project progress and material procurement.

  • Report actual vs. planned progress and highlight variances to management.

  • Communicate any commercial variations and support the finance department with billing.

  • Deliver daily and periodic management reports.

IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in OHL projects (11KV / 33KV), preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and teams.

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of OHL systems, design parameters, and international standards.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent planning, budgeting, and organizational capabilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English (Arabic preferred).

  • Proficient with computer applications and project management tools.

  • Experience working in Bahrain is an added advantage.

V. Additional Skills:
