Its a pivotal role in driving financial excellence across the retail operations of the organization in UAE, KSA, and Qatar. This leadership position requires strong expertise in retail finance, multi-store operations, inventory costing, margin analysis, and GCC taxation laws (VAT, Zakat, Corporate Tax). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading regional finance functions, aligning financial strategy with business growth, and ensuring compliance with local statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts function across UAE, KSA, and Qatar, ensuring compliance with IFRS, VAT, Corporate Tax, and Zakat regulations.

  • Establish robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting of retail transactions, sales, and inventory.

  • Drive financial system automation and ERP integration for retail operations including POS, inventory, and supply chain.

Retail Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across retail stores, distribution centers, and online channels.

  • Conduct margin analysis, sales performance reviews, inventory valuation, and shrinkage control to maximize profitability.

  • Consolidate and review monthly/quarterly financial performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Support expansion strategies (new store openings, franchise agreements, e-commerce initiatives) through financial feasibility and ROI analysis.

  • Collaborate with merchandising, operations, and supply chain teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and procurement strategies.

  • Provide dashboards, KPIs, and scenario modeling to support retail leadership in decision-making.

Team Development & Governance

  • Mentor and guide finance teams across multiple countries, promoting knowledge of GCC retail tax frameworks and international finance standards.

  • Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth statutory audits and filings.

  • Implement best practices in financial policies, compliance, and reporting across regional entities.

Job Requirements & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Experience: 810 years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a GCC retail or FMCG finance leadership role.

  • Strong expertise in UAE, KSA, and Qatar tax laws (VAT, Corporate Tax, Zakat, and Labor Law compliance).

  • Proven track record in multi-entity consolidation, retail cost accounting, inventory management, and revenue recognition.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar), POS integrations, and advanced Excel/financial modeling tools.

  • Strong leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
