Head of Communications (Volunteer)

About the Position: As Head of Communications at Team Tumbleweed, you'll lead a dynamic, engaged and creative department taking everyone with us on our road to Mars. You’ll make sure we succeed in telling our fantastic story - through overseeing strategy, social media, stakeholder relations and event presence!

It’s not every day that you get to work on going to Mars, and communications is critical to that endeavour. We’re looking for a creative, driven and audacious person that loves working in a vibrant team culture, with people all over the world.

• Preferred: experience in communications or marketing, particularly in the Space Industry and/or Start Up Environments

Responsibilities:

• Help build our reputation through extending and strengthening our network

• Ensure our team produces consistent, high-quality content on social media platforms and our website to attract funding and talent

• Oversee all communications projects and support their execution

• Supervise the Media team

• Lead the development of the team’s brand communication strategy and press relations

• Ensuring Team Tumbleweed’s presence at key industry events
