  • Excellent spoken and written English.

  • Good communication abilities and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.

  • Solution driven and technical enthusiast

  • Passion for space exploration and innovation

  • Having an intrinsic motivation of solving challenging problem.

General task to be performed:

  • The design, development and test of spacecraft transponder module and antenna on-board applications. This work encompasses the definition of the mission communication architecture, the transceiver and receiver module together with their interfaces with respect to the power distribution system, onboard and data handling computers.

  • Performing analog and digital signal processing techniques analysis, defining physical and data layer and data bus topologies.

  • The development of simulation blocks for system analysis within its Martian environment (transceiver, receiver , RF front-end, antenna, power management system) useful for the independent evaluation of critical power budgets and data rates.

  • Support to laboratory activities concerning design and development or verification of hardware-in-loop test architectures.

  • Active involvement in critical R&D activities supported by simulation of communication windows and data rates, worst case analysis and laboratory testing of the overall system or of the most critical sub-components.

  • Participating in make-or-buy decisions by systematically performing trade-off analysis and market research for potential sub-components candidates.

To successfully perform the above mentioned task, the following background/ experience is required:

  • Bachelor degree in Signal or RF Electronic Engineering. A Master or PhD degree will be an asset.
