We're looking for an AI Engineer who can build real AI-powered features, not just chatbots, but systems that can take action and get things done. You'll be working on everything from integrating LLMs to creating workflows that automate tasks.

This is a solo role, so you'll handle everything end to end. That includes coming up with ideas, designing solutions, building them, and launching them.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI agents that can perform tasks on their own, such as calling tools, making decisions, and handling multi-step processes

  • Create workflows where AI can complete tasks from start to finish, like generating content, processing data, or handling customer interactions

  • Work closely with different departments to help them use AI in their day-to-day work, automate repetitive tasks, and improve productivity

  • Identify opportunities across teams where AI can simplify processes and make work easier

  • Add safety checks and fallback options to keep things reliable

  • Connect LLM APIs like OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini

  • Use AI tools to speed up your own development

  • Quickly prototype ideas and turn them into working features

  • Handle architecture, deployment, and maintenance

  • Set up monitoring and error handling so issues do not go unnoticed

  • Decide when to build from scratch and when to use existing tools

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience in PHP, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar

  • Experience with tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar

  • Experience integrating LLM APIs into real products, not just side projects

  • Solid understanding of LLM basics like prompt design, tokens, RAG, and tool or function calling

  • Experience building AI features that users actually use

  • Ability to design multi-step AI workflows that can make decisions and handle edge cases

  • Strong API integration skills

  • Writes clean, organized, and well-documented code

  • Comfortable working independently

  • Experience deploying applications on serverless infrastructure and modern developer platforms

Nice to have

  • Experience with Laravel, WordPress, and HubSpot

  • Experience with Vercel, Supabase, PlanetScale, Netlify, Neon, Convex, Railway, etc.

  • Knowledge of AI safety and security best practices
