About the job REGISTRATION SPECIALIST

The Registration specialist is responsible for viewing and entering digital information into the laboratory information system (iLIMS). Information includes but may not be limited to patient demographics, client information, billing information, procedure, and diagnosis codes, reporting information, and collection information and ultimately assigning an accession number.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Logs into to iLIMS and Patient Registration program at the Interpath SharePoint site.
  • Efficiently and accurately reviews digital images and performs data entry into patient information into registration form.
  • Reviews and follows company procedures to ensure quality information is entered fo laboratory team members responsible for work later in the process workflow.
  • Accurately translates physician orders and diagnoses.
  • Follow established safety protocols.
  • Follow established daily checklist to ensure all tasks performed on schedule.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
  • Understands and practices Medicare rules regarding ABNs.
  • Actively participates in departmental quality assurance monitors.
  • Follow all established I.Q. protocols and procedures.
  • Assists in the mentorship and development of new team members.
  • Participates in scheduling by coverage of varied shifts and sites.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful experience as an Interpath Laboratory Phlebotomist/Processor who has a record of accuracy and an above average work pace.
  • Ability to read English and interpret information to search for appropriate test or diagnosis codes when necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize computer applications.
  • High aptitude and commitment to accuracy and being detail oriented.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email communications and maneuver quickly around other
  • computer applications necessary to perform essential job functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Willing to work early shift: 4:00AM -1:00PM, Wednesday-Sunday
  • Can work Onsite, in Ortigas
