The Role:

We're searching for a Lab Patient Account Representative who is responsible for accurately entering CPT and ICD-10 codes in Intergy for all patient encounters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Append specific data such as modifiers, payer specific information, including but not limited to authorization criteria, Category II CPT codes, date of injury (DOI), referring provider, and NDC codes. Reconcile encounters daily verifying completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify abnormalities or mismatched entries, following up with the appropriate person(s) to obtain the complete information. Achieve goals set forth by supervisor regarding error-free work, transactions, processes and compliance requirements and value-based care agreements.
  • Strive to achieve and maintain individual goals and benchmarks, including charge entry within 1-2 days of provider sign off.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years medical charge entry, medical billing or related medical experience
  • Expertise in Insurance Claims:
    • Applicants should have a background in the insurance industry, specifically in claims handling, processing, or adjusting.
    • A solid understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and related terminology is necessary.
    • Prior experience managing claims through email, phone, or other communication channels would be a significant advantage.
  • Strong Communication Skills:
    • Candidates must possess excellent written communication skills, as they will be interacting with customers via email, chatbots, and Front.
    • It's essential for applicants to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in written correspondence.
    • A proven ability to resolve customer inquiries with empathy and efficiency is crucial, especially when handling sensitive insurance-related matters.
  • HIPAA Certification, preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Willing to work in US Time Zone (Pacific), must be amenable to shifting schedule
