PRE-BILLING SPECIALIST

The Role:

We're searching for a Pre-Billing Specialist who is responsible for ensuring that required data is present in Phoenix for all patient accessions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Visually scan orders and add supporting ICD-10 codes, send out missing data requests when there are not supportive ICD-10 codes.
• Append specific data such as modifiers or other missing information that prevents the charge from being billed.
• Follow rules and guidelines to choose the correct financial class for the transaction to ensure that the appropriate party is billed.
• Identify abnormalities or mismatched entries and follow up with the appropriate person(s) to complete.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years medical charge entry, medical billing or related medical experience
• Email and Phone customer service experience
• HIPAA Certification, preferred
• Willing to work in US Time Zone (Pacific)
