About the job Project Manager (UCaaS Needs Assessment)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a UCaaS Needs Assessment for a major government project. The PM will oversee all phases of the assessment, including stakeholder engagement, evaluation of existing systems and diverse endpoints, requirements gathering, and development of a comprehensive RFP for UCaaS procurement.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Unified Communications, telephony systems, and UCaaS, with a strong track record in managing similar assessments and developing RFPs for complex IT/telecom projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the UCaaS needs assessment and requirements-gathering process
Engage stakeholders and evaluate current voice and communications systems
Conduct interviews, surveys, and data gathering to assess communication challenges and system needs
Develop detailed technical and functional UCaaS requirements based on stakeholder input
Provide recommendations for UCaaS vendors and solutions
Develop a detailed RFP document for UCaaS solution implementation, ensuring it meets procurement requirements
Create a high-level implementation plan, outlining phases, timelines, and deliverables
Manage project timelines, documentation, and communications with clients and vendors
Provide expert-level guidance on telephony modernization and best practices
Analyze existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements or new solutions
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field
7+ years of experience in Unified Communications or Telephony project management
Direct experience with UCaaS solutions and RFP development
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with requirements development for UCaaS or similar IT/telecom systems
Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring successful implementation and migration
Experience working with public sector organizations is a plus
