Job Title: Lead Cloud Engineer - Infrastructure | REMOTE

Overview:

The Lead Cloud Engineer is chiefly responsible for providing technical leadership on client projects, guiding architectural design discussions with clients, and offering ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members involved in implementation. They will also manage client expectations while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. This role offers a clear career progression path for Senior Cloud Engineers and Cloud Engineers aspiring to lead end-to-end client engagements.

Team Development Responsibilities:

- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior team members, sharing expertise on infrastructure projects.

- Act as a coach in a hands-on role to help team members develop skills and confidence in infrastructure delivery.

- Build and nurture relationships within the cloud infrastructure teams (delivery, delivery excellence, solution architecture) and externally.

Project Delivery Support:

- Oversee technical delivery with a consultative approach across multiple client projects.

- Collaborate with Delivery Excellence to ensure project milestones align with schedules and key client decisions are documented.

- Possess extensive technical knowledge of Azure technologies, including Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Security, Networking (App Gateways, Front Door, Firewall, VWAN), Storage, Automation (IaC), Sentinel, App Services, Containers (AKS), Managed Instances, Azure SQL, DNS, Virtual Desktop + Nerdio, and Files.

- Understand cloud infrastructure solutions and their deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep or Terraform.

- Support the delivery team in overcoming project obstacles to meet billable targets.

- Facilitate change orders and project extensions when necessary.

- Provide technical oversight for integration points across different practice areas, ensuring alignment.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their impact on current offerings.

- Achieved the AZ-305 Cloud Architect certification.

Business Development:

- Gain insights into other practice areas to better position infrastructure solutions within existing projects.

- Identify new opportunities for Cloud Infrastructure and Security solutions and escalate them appropriately.

- Lead and support community initiatives, guiding the development of standardized infrastructure practices.

Growth Factors:

- Establish trust as a trusted advisor across multiple accounts, supporting account growth through a Land & Expand approach.

- Lead multiple projects to help scale the infrastructure teams capabilities.

- Assist teammates in resolving project blockers and preventing escalations.

- Develop reusable tools and content that enable team members to efficiently bill their time and deliver value to clients.
