Purpose of the Position:

  • To develop and manage technology projects and their cost, time and scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, Leads, Coordinates and Controls all the project related activities 25%
  2. Defines project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress, aligning these with company goals making sure that the project team is clear on objectives - 25%
  3. Creates, manages and maintains project plans and objectives - 20%
  4. Identifies and defines project resources, hardware and software platform, working area and condition, project team composition, work schedule and assignments - 15%
  5. Monitors production and quality of system under development and within the defined system development methodology and standards - 15%

Scope and Limitations:

  1. Plan, Lead, Coordinate and Control all the project related activities 
  2. Create, manage and maintain project plans and objectives
  3. Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress, aligning these with company goals making sure that the project team is clear on objectives
  4. Identify and define the project resources, hardware and software platform, working area and condition, project team composition, work schedule and assignments
  5. Ensure resource availability and allocation
  6. Participates and assist with design and development tasks
  7. Lead process of issue identification and resolution
  8. Identify and manage risk implementing mitigating controls and tracking process
  9. Manage and monitor project scope, schedule and costs
  10. Organize the full documentation process, ensuring all documentations are part of the promotion of the system to the production environment
  11. Monitors production and quality of system under development and within the defined system development methodology and standards
  12. Identifies and resolves issues and risks encountered in all phases of the project
  13. Lead meetings and set expectations for project team
  14. Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
  15. Reports on project progress, status, accomplishments, issues and risk
  16. Coordinate with other ITD to ensure the successful implementation of projects in the production environment
  17. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Requirements Must be a graduate of an I.T./ Computer Science or related Engineering or Technology Courses
  2. Experiential Requirements Must have at least five (5) years of experience as a Project Leader with both theoretical and practical project management knowledge
  3. Project Management qualification/certification or equivalent
  4. Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  5. Required Interpersonal Skills: Must be a good team player, customer-oriented attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent supervisory skills.
  6. Proficiency in project management software tools
  7. Critical thinking and problem solving
  8. Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
  9. Contract negotiation, Conflict resolution experience, Adaptability, Able to tolerate stress
  10. Must have full understanding and experience in Windows Server, Linux and Unix systems inclusive of applicable web and application platforms, database management systems and programming languages
  11. Critical thinking and problem solving
  12. Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
