Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing relevant data, projections and statistics to the Head of Capacity and Performance. - 20%
  2. Recommends the applicable changes in the design of the systems, storage and network infrastructure capacity and performance management and monitoring to ensure its availability and reliability in delivering the services required. - 20%
  3. Recommends the standardization of parameters and setup of operating systems, database management system, platforms, network and other system and network components to ensure optimum level of performance and capacity. - 20%
  4. Does capacity management process and draws up projections and statistics of all available and appropriate hardware, network and software. - 20%
  5. Ensures that the systems management and automation tools are properly configured and running to monitor and collect pertinent data to reflect performance and be used for capacity forecasting and projections. - 20%

Scope and Limitations:

  1. Carries out activities required in configuration, maintenance and tuning of all systems and applications in terms of performance and capacity management considerations
  2. Formulates and organizes action plans to meet the objectives, plans and targets assigned.
  3. Formulates and updates the performance consideration and configuration and submits these to the Capacity and Performance Head
  4. Utilizes defined and/or ad-hoc methods, executed in an orderly manner in providing solutions for exceptions and other situations that have issues/concerns
  5. Analyze and assess the problem / situation faced and assist in the identification of core issues to determine the best course of action in resolving the situation.
  6. Provide input and advice in the development and delivery of the company's products and services considering the functions and services delivered and handled by the unit
  7. Able to associate and relate the business and technical aspects of the company's products, services and operations to ensure the efficient utilization of resources
  8. Serves as the adviser in providing areas for consideration and improvement in the field of Capacity and Performance Management.
  9. Able to process and discern what is applicable and best suitable method to be used in the improvement of the services and functions handled
  10. Assures that functions and services rendered are accurate and 
  11. Performs data collection from systems and application performance
  12. Research on new hardware, software, and productivity tools and technology trends and recommend adoption to enhance system availability and performance in coordination with the Research & Development unit
  13. Continuously promote cost cutting measures to ensure unit operates within operating budgets set.
  14. Ensure that requests for application systems and tools that will help in automation are properly evaluated and recommendations are given in a timely manner. Assist in the quality assurance, software evaluation and design reviews.
  15. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  16. Provide support for the initiatives set by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements - Must be a graduate of an I.T/ Computer Science or related Engineering or Technology Courses
  • Experiential Requirements - Must have at least 3 years of exposure in Technical Support work. With at least 1 year supervisory experience leading a technical team
  • Required Interpersonal Skills: Must be a good team player with a customer-oriented attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent supervisory skills.
  • Must have project management skill 
  • Must have systems analysis and coding experience in .NET, Java application environment
