Job Purpose: 

  • The Junior Valuer/Appraiser assists in conducting property valuations across various sectors, including residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial properties. This role supports senior valuers in delivering accurate and comprehensive valuation reports to clients such as property companies, financial institutions, and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Inspection:
    • Conduct on-site inspections to assess property conditions, features, and other factors influencing value.
  • Market Research:
    • Perform desktop and field research, including liaising with relevant government agencies, to gather data on market trends, comparable sales, and other pertinent information.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze collected data to determine property values, utilizing appropriate valuation methodologies.
  • Report Preparation:
    • Assist in drafting detailed valuation reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Support senior valuers in client commuifications, addressing inquiries, and providing necessary information.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate completion of valuation assignments.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure all valuation activities adhere to local regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance, Management), Real Estate Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical), or a related field.

Experience:

  • Previous experience or internships in real estate valuation or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
Licenses:
  • Pursuit or possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Real Estate Appraiser) is preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
