Location: Philippines (Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

Role Overview
As an Underwriting Manager, you'll lead the design, analysis, and optimization of credit underwriting strategies across various products and partnerships. You'll work closely with the Data Science team and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate risk assessment, performance monitoring, and policy execution.
Key Responsibilities
Underwriting Policy Design

Develop credit underwriting strategies tailored to different product types and customer segments.

Partner with the Data Science team to review and validate underwriting models and monitor their performance on the current portfolio.

Determine pricing based on risk segmentation and expected loss rates.

Standardize underwriting policies and processes across the organization.
Portfolio Performance Monitoring

Analyze credit portfolio trends and recommend changes to underwriting strategies.

Identify and implement technological solutions to improve risk processes and portfolio management.
New Partner Integrations

Understand partner offerings, target segments, and available application data.

Design underwriting policies based on product features, customer journey, and accessible data.

Formulate underwriting strategies aligned with target loss rates.

Oversee end-to-end implementation, including UAT, policy testing, and issue resolution.
About You
Education
-
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Statistics, Management, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience, including 3-4 years in risk management and analytics.

Strong understanding of credit risk, policy design, and performance tracking.

Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
-
Previous team leadership experience is a plus.
