Job Details:

  • Maintains the list of sea staff with recommendation for promotion. 
  • Assists, from a training perspective, in transition planning for promotions of the crew.
  • Assists in the identification and evaluation of the company's training needs and objectives.
  • Maintains the training schedule, in liaison with Fleet Manager. 
  • Maintains the Training Needs based on information obtained from Sign off Interviews.
  • Coordinates, prepares, and updates competence documentation. 
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of training plans for newly hired seafarers based on STCW and company standards.
  • Assists in organizing seafarers conferences, training sessions and other company specific courses in coordination with the principal.
  • Facilitates the administrative requirements of In-house training and likewise coordination/arrangement of out-sourced training.
  • Maintains an updated record of all training materials, equipment, and other related training resources.
  • Responsible for maintenance of training records for sea staff. 
  • Makes all arrangements in connection with courses (enrollment, travel, hotel, information etc)
  • Follow up on training courses in connection with various projects. 
  • Provides appropriate personnel information into Crewing System, in respect of courses and training matters.
  • Ensures relevant scanned documents are entered in the Crewing System.
