About the job Assistant Transport Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead transport organization including supervisors, drivers, customer service.
2. Oversee Route & Dispatch Planning in efficient/proper ways
3. Oversee Booking coordination and confirmation in efficient/ proper ways
4. Report Weekly/Monthly basis transport operations
5. Develop new reliable truckers/partners from the market to the company
6. Ensure trucks are fully utilized and in- -house trucks are prioritized for use over 3PL trucks
7. Review/Validate gas expenses and other internal costs related to Transport
8. Keep trucks in good condition (both aesthetically and functionally)
9. Ensure KPIs/SLAs of all clients are secured
10. Comply with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
11. Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints
12.Plan, Organize and manage subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Any 4 Year Course, Industrial Engineering or other Logistics related degree preferred
- At least 5 years in freight industry, and has handled a bin (50+) fleet of trucks previously
- Preferrably from Freight forwarding and logistics company who handles transportation management from various clients.
- In depth knowledge about vehicles, parts and maintenance.
- Abe to come up with detailed, data-backed reports.
