Network Engineer (L3)
About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer (L3) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network implementation, strong Cisco CCNP R&S certification, and proficiency in various networking technologies. This role involves providing Level 3 support in network operations, maintaining LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP environments, and ensuring the smooth operation of geographically distributed networks. Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related courses. (Bachelors Degree is a mandatory requirement)
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience with network implementation.
- Cisco CCNP R&S certification (Mandatory Requirement)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and DNS workings.
- Proficiency in routing and switching skills, especially with BGP, OSPF, PBR, redistribution, route filtering, and traffic engineering.
- Working experience/knowledge in configuring Firewalls, NAT, URL filtering, QoS, SSLVPN, Site-to-Site IPsec VPN, SIP, call routing.
- IP Telephony experience is required.
- Familiarity with Cloud services and SDWAN.
- Python Scripting skills are a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in voice networks, regardless of the vendor.
- Analytical, detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a multinational environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong network documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Keep geographically distributed networks running smoothly and monitored well.
- Implement, optimize, and maintain LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP environments.
- Improve resilience of the current network environment.
- Maintain network devices and related servers like Tacacs+, IPPBX, monitoring tools, etc.
- Immediately troubleshoot and restore network-related outages (on-call).
- Report network operational status, identify trends in performance and bandwidth usage, raise issues, and propose solutions to avoid network bottlenecks and imminent device failures.
- Collaborate with System and Security teams for IT infrastructure improvements or expansions.
- Liaise with Project Management team on a regular basis.
- Network documentation (identified problems, solutions, and related changes, network improvements).
