Job Summary:

As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in curating and managing product categories to drive growth, revenue, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, optimizing product assortments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional online shopping experience.

Job Duties:

  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement category-specific strategies aligned with the overall business goals, including product selection, pricing, and promotion strategies.
  • Assortment Management: Curate and manage product assortments within assigned categories, ensuring a diverse and appealing product mix that meets customer needs and preferences.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers within the category to optimize product availability and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to stay informed about industry dynamics and adjust category strategies accordingly.
  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with demand planning teams to accurately forecast inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and merchandising strategies to drive category growth.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to assess category performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Customer Experience: Continuously enhance the online shopping experience by improving product listings, content, and user interface within the category.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products within the category meet quality standards, legal requirements, and compliance guidelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and customer support, to achieve category-specific and company-wide objectives.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

Years of Experience

4+ years of experience in category management, e-commerce, or related roles.
