Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of network maintenance to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable network performance. This role involves providing technical skills, supporting the field teams, and coordinating maintenance, Additionally, this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of network reliability and safety.

Job Duties

  • Provide input on equipment and properties to perform mechanical analyses related to cables.
  • Provide technical teams with diagnosis and assistance handling complex technical problems.
  • Ensure that network operations maintenance work is safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, advising monitoring maintenance schedules, and adjusting hardware components.
  • Design and develop optical fiber cable sketches.
  • Provide support during the maintenance phase to the field team to solve problems on time and to industry standards.
  • Supervise the maintenance work in the field, technical adviser on-site during the test & fix the problem.
  • Facilitate maintenance, commissioning, testing support.
  • Reading design and support for the orderly construction and maintenance, modification and removal of equipment, switching equipment, power systems, cable racks, supporting AC power, wireless system cell site components, and new emerging technologies such as broadband and customer-premises wireless solutions.
  • Site survey for the filed network to prepare the required scope of work for future maintenance (re-deployment).
  • Perform Site Survey Identify and build pathways and provide temporary solutions for the network.
  • Provide support for Network Equipment Installation and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for Cable Placement -Terminations and Splicing - Optical fiber and copper.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels by inventorying stock and communicating needs to the secondary warehouse
  • Communicate the wiring plan and equipment layout prior to the installation if needed.
  • Supervise filed team progress, technicians performance, and material use.
  • Test a new cabinet design and ensure the quality of work is accepted level from the operation side.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for network maintenance team members.
  • Generate reports on network performance, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.
  • Ensure that all network maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
