Job Summary:

The Fiber and Radio Maintenance Section Head supervises all maintenance activities related to fiber and radio networks, ensuring minimal network downtime and achieving customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing technicians and engineers, managing work tickets, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and optimizing preventive maintenance across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Oversee the resolution of work tickets and workflow for Fiber & Radio Technicians, ensuring SLAs and customer satisfaction are met.
  • Team Management: Handle manpower planning, shift scheduling, and resource distribution to cover all regions and remote sites effectively.
  • Operational Management: Organize teams for defect handling, equipment upgrades, and preventive maintenance; ensure adherence to company standards and material availability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, service levels, and KPIs in real-time, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and consistent high performance.
  • Technical Support: Assist technicians in troubleshooting complex problems and ensure team members are trained and up-to-date with new and upgraded technologies.
  • Reporting: Submit regular maintenance reports, including quarterly and annual objectives, to the Field Maintenance Director and ensure accurate record-keeping and data management.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies; handle approvals, permissions, and financial reviews related to projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSc in Computer, Mechanical, or Telecom Engineering; Health and Safety Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in telecommunications or ISP industry with at least 3 years in technical management.

This role requires a leader with a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team to maintain and improve network performance effectively.
