Job Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing large sets of data to derive insights and provide actionable.

recommendations that drive business decisions and enhance the overall performance of the marketplace.

This role involves data cleansing, modeling, and creating visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.

Job Duties:

  • Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
  • Developing and maintaining databases, and data systems reorganizing data in a readable format
  • Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
  • Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems.
  • Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
  • Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies. Develop and
    maintain data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability for analysis purposes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for optimizing the marketplace's performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various features and changes on the marketplace.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, data analysis techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

Job Requirements:

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Years of Experience:

2-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in an FMCG industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and database systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proven experience as a Data analyst, preferably in a business or sales-focused role in FMCG companies

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of FMCG marketplace dynamics, e-commerce business models, and
    related metrics.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and machine learning concepts.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, transformation, and data mining methods.
