Job Summary

This position is responsible to determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for projects. Researching documents and analyzing specifications. Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work. develop customer solutions and secure sufficient work by value and type to meet the company's objectives.

Job Duties

• Prepare detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc. estimates.
• Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations."
• Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
• Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating methods
• Maintain an accurate, current database cost codes of accounts for historical data
• Review resources availability and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate.
• Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates
• Perform cost analysis, including verifying unit costs, determining total project cost, and estimating variance
• Track project progress, ensure payments are made on time, and reconcile financial activities
• Prepare reports and analysis, including tracking the progress of bids and cultivating relationships with clients
• Site survey subjected to deployment team requested by estimator and validated later by estimator to create the scope of work required.
