Job Summary:

The Preventive Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to field maintenance teams, ensuring that all maintenance activities align with industry standards and company specifications. The role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the readiness and optimal performance of equipment across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Guidance: Assist in the selection of materials and equipment, and provide technical advice on mechanical analyses, repairs, and site acceptance.
  • Field Support: Serve as an on-site technical advisor during maintenance activities, assisting with the resolution of complex technical problems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules, using precision testing equipment to ensure equipment is in peak operating condition.
  • Site Operations: Conduct site surveys, manage the installation and maintenance of equipment, and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Network and Power Systems: Manage network-related projects, provide technical support for cable and power systems, and ensure vendor compliance in asset delivery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, prepare work reports, and ensure proper documentation of site acceptance and material requests.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety standards, and contribute to disaster recovery and network continuity efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Telecom Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in engineering, ISP, or telecom maintenance roles.

  • Technical:
    • Fundamentals of ISP Operations, including construction, networks, wireless, and preventive & corrective maintenance.

    • Report writing, scheduling, and coordinating, with a focus on creativity and process improvement.

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures, quality standards, and ITIL.
  • Knowledge of the fixed and wireless telecommunications industry, including telecom/network equipment, routers, IP switches, data centers, cabling, power systems, and environmental controls.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD tools, network designs, fault diagnosis tools, and communication systems.

  • Implementation of the Preventive Maintenance Plan.

This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong technical background, capable of working under pressure and effectively coordinating across teams to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the companys infrastructure.
