Job Summary:
The Fuel Procurement Officer ensures the organizations fuel procurement activities are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. The role involves sourcing fuel at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, coordinating deliveries, and supporting operational and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Execution:
- Place orders based on demand forecasts.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely fuel deliveries.
- Supplier Management:
- Conduct supplier evaluations and address service issues.
- Maintain clear communication with suppliers regarding needs and schedules.
- Market Monitoring:
- Track fuel market trends and price fluctuations.
- Recommend adjustments to orders based on market changes.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping:
- Ensure procurement processes comply with policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and supplier communications.
- Cost Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and standards.
- Monitor procurement costs and report variances.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in procurement or logistics.
