Job Summary:

The Fuel Procurement Officer ensures the organizations fuel procurement activities are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. The role involves sourcing fuel at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, coordinating deliveries, and supporting operational and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Execution:
    • Place orders based on demand forecasts.
    • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely fuel deliveries.
  2. Supplier Management:
    • Conduct supplier evaluations and address service issues.
    • Maintain clear communication with suppliers regarding needs and schedules.
  3. Market Monitoring:
    • Track fuel market trends and price fluctuations.
    • Recommend adjustments to orders based on market changes.
  4. Compliance & Record-Keeping:
    • Ensure procurement processes comply with policies and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of transactions and supplier communications.
  5. Cost Management:
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and standards.
    • Monitor procurement costs and report variances.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in procurement or logistics.
