Job Summary:
As a Procurement Specialist, your primary responsibility is to oversee and optimize the procurement process to ensure the seamless acquisition of goods and services required for the platform's operations. You will play a crucial role in sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to support the platform's growth and success.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for the FMCG Marketplace, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services from reputable vendors.
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and collaborate with vendors to optimize the supply chain and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Analyze market trends, conduct pricing research, and identify cost-saving opportunities to optimize procurement operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, finance, and operations, to understand their procurement needs and align them with the platform's objectives.
- Utilize data analytics tools to assess procurement performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports for senior management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and sustainable procurement initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a robust supplier network, continuously seeking new and innovative vendors to enhance the platform's offerings.
- Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Years of Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG or e-commerce industry.
- Supervisory and management experience
