Sourcing and Contracting Officer
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement processes for tenders, including supplier research and tender document issuance.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure best deals and payment terms.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with contracts and company needs.
- Negotiate complex contracts, maximizing cost savings and minimizing risks.
- Oversee supplier performance and provide monthly reports to improve it.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers and identify new ones.
- Locate and evaluate potential vendors to secure best value and delivery schedules.
- Manage warranty claims and ensure compensation.
- Draft contracts for review by legal department and Supply Chain Director.
- Analyze spending data and recommend sourcing best practices.
- Oversee supplier data entry into the ERP system.
- Analyze supplier performance and contracts to identify potential discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration (or similar)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and contract management
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Expertise in supplier relations and contractual basics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Understanding of local and international suppliers and pricing
- Market and product knowledge
- Sourcing and contracting planning skills
- Contract administration and legal knowledge
