Field Maintenance Engineer

Field Maintenance Engineer (FME)

This role is responsible for providing technical support to field teams and resolving complex technical problems related to radio and fiber optic infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist field teams with technical guidance and ensure they understand maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems on-site.
• Review and approve site acceptance documents for new deployments.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Perform maintenance activities on various equipment including generators, towers, and fiber optic cables.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other teams and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Interpret and analyze network diagrams and recommend improvements.
• Available for on-call support in case of emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Telecom Engineering (preferred)
• 0-2 years of experience in engineering, ISP, or telecom maintenance
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of network equipment, cabling, fiber optics, power systems, and safety procedures
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure
