Position: Logistics and Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist

Job responsibilities:

Coordinate and book transportation services with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.

Arrange and schedule pickup and delivery of shipments according to customer requirements and shipping schedules.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation for freight bookings, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs clearance documents.

Track and monitor the movement of shipments in transit, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders as needed.

Proactively identify and address any delays, issues, or disruptions in transportation to minimize impact on delivery schedules.

Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and import/export requirements in various countries.

Liaise with customs brokers and government agencies to resolve any customs-related issues or queries.

Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize inventory flow.

Assist in implementing inventory control measures and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, logistics inquiries, and service updates.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Communicate proactively with customers to provide shipment status updates, delivery schedules, and any changes or delays.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

Proven 4 years experience in logistics and freight forwarding operations.

Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.

Ability to speak Arabic and English.
