Job Summary:
The Network Maintenance Supervisor oversees the technical and operational aspects of network maintenance across designated regions. This role ensures efficient, safe, and reliable network performance through technical expertise, leadership, and adherence to industry standards.

Job Duties:

  • Provide input on equipment and properties for mechanical analyses related to cables.
  • Support technical teams with diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure safe and efficient maintenance operations; advise on maintenance schedules and hardware adjustments.
  • Design and develop optical fiber cable sketches as needed.
  • Provide on-site support during maintenance phases to resolve technical issues promptly and according to industry standards.
  • Supervise field maintenance activities, serving as a technical advisor during testing and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate maintenance, commissioning, and testing support.
  • Read and interpret designs for orderly construction, modification, or removal of equipment, power systems, cable racks, and wireless system components.
  • Conduct site surveys to prepare scope of work for future maintenance and re-deployment projects.
  • Perform site surveys, identifying and creating pathways and temporary solutions for network needs.
  • Assist in network equipment installation and maintenance as required.
  • Provide technical support for cable placement, terminations, and splicing of optical fiber and copper.
  • Manage stock levels by inventorying and communicating needs to secondary warehouses.
  • Communicate wiring plans and equipment layouts for installations as necessary.
  • Supervise field team progress, technician performance, and material usage.
  • Test new cabinet designs and ensure quality meets operational standards.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for network maintenance team members.
  • Generate reports on network performance, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.
  • Ensure all network maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in network maintenance or related field.

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Arabic (written and spoken).

  • Familiarity with telecom/network equipment, routers, IP switches, data centers, cabling, fiber and copper distribution, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
  • Understanding of CAD tools, reading work prints, network designs, fault diagnosis tools, communication systems and tools, catalogs, and training material.
  • Understanding of applied mechanics, materials and processing, mechanical testing, and optical transmission.
