Job Summary:

The Preventive Maintenance Engineer provides technical guidance and support to field teams, ensuring compliance with maintenance specifications. This role involves resolving complex technical issues on-site and collaborating with experts to finalize solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Assist in material and equipment selection for mechanical analyses and repairs.
  • Analysis & Diagnosis: Utilize applied mechanics and optical transmission knowledge to diagnose and assist in resolving complex problems.
  • Safety Oversight: Review site acceptance documents and advise on compliance before finalization to ensure safe network operations.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Advise on planned maintenance schedules and adjust hardware components as necessary.
  • Standards Compliance: Support field maintenance supervisors in adhering to industry maintenance standards.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate across teams and with vendors to ensure quality standards and timely asset delivery.
  • Documentation: Interpret engineering drawings and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Model Creation: Develop mathematical models for RF communication systems.
  • Project Management: Manage wired and wireless communication projects, ensuring timely completion using planning tools.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including servicing and testing various equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain records of test equipment and transmitters, and oversee inventory levels.
  • Emergency Response: Be available 24/7 for urgent troubleshooting and network outages.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: BSc in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Telecom Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Engineering, ISP, or Telecom Maintenance roles.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documentation and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with optical fiber, cable infrastructure, and wireless systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment testing.
