Job Title: Cashier

Department: Operations / Retail
Reports To: Branch Manager / Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To handle customer transactions efficiently, maintain accurate cash records, and ensure excellent customer service at the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive payments (cash, card, digital) and issue receipts accurately
  • Handle daily cash transactions and maintain cash register balance
  • Ensure proper opening and closing of cash counter
  • Maintain records of transactions and prepare daily cash reports
  • Provide excellent customer service and address queries professionally
  • Coordinate with accounts/finance for reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or system issues immediately

Requirements:

  • Education: Intermediate / Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: 1–2 years in cashiering or relevant role
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling
  • Strong numerical and communication skills
  • Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
