Job Title: Cashier
Department: Operations / Retail
Reports To: Branch Manager / Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To handle customer transactions efficiently, maintain accurate cash records, and ensure excellent customer service at the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive payments (cash, card, digital) and issue receipts accurately
- Handle daily cash transactions and maintain cash register balance
- Ensure proper opening and closing of cash counter
- Maintain records of transactions and prepare daily cash reports
- Provide excellent customer service and address queries professionally
- Coordinate with accounts/finance for reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs
- Report discrepancies, shortages, or system issues immediately
Requirements:
- Education: Intermediate / Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 1–2 years in cashiering or relevant role
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling
- Strong numerical and communication skills
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
