Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (MSSQL 2017) to manage, monitor, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of databases while supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server 2017 databases.
  
• Administer and manage 4-node Always On Availability Groups (AG) to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
  
• Monitor database performance using Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) and implement performance tuning strategies.
  
• Perform database health checks and continuous monitoring to ensure system stability and uptime.
  
• Design and manage backup strategies, including backup routing and scheduling.
  
• Handle index maintenance, including index rebuilding and reorganization to improve query performance.
  
• Manage database logs, including log monitoring, troubleshooting, and shrinking where necessary.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and outages.
  
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
  
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database-related improvements.
  
• Maintain proper documentation of database configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
  

Mandatory Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (MSSQL 2017)
  
• Proven experience in:
  
  • 4-node Always On Availability Group (AG) management
    
  • Database DMVs (Dynamic Management Views)
    
  • Database Health Monitoring & Performance Tuning
    
  • Backup Routing & Backup Planning
    
  • Index Rebuilding & Reorganization
    
  • Database Log Management & Shrinking
    

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  
• 3–6+ years of experience as a DBA (or as per role seniority)
  
• Strong command of SQL and database performance tuning
