Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating, streamlining, and improving the development, testing, and production environment of our cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to ensure reliable performance and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments.
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
- Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and implement necessary patches to keep systems running smoothly.
- Set up system monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Maintain optimal security practices within our cloud environments.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Qualifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (valid for at least 2 years).
- Solid understanding of DevOps best practices and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Considerations:
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work under pressure.
